When I first met Samantha McNamara at an Enterprise collective networking event. I listened with great interest about her acupuncture practice, The Acupuncture Place in Pocklington. I was intrigued to find out more, not only about her business but about Samantha's personal journey to get here. Samantha has had an extensive career in the beauty industry and made the impressive decision to follow her passion for Acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments leading her to gain a BCS Cons degree in these subject in her early forties. I know Samantha's story will resonate with lots of women out there and leave you feeling inspired.
Q&A
A song that always motivates you? If I'm exercising and weight lifting it's got to be Beyonce. I have a real eclectic taste in music as I also love listening to classical music. Run The World- Beyonce.
A book that inspires you? I've never been good at journalling but I started using my new Moonology Dairy/Journal by Yasmin Boland at the beginning of lockdown and I love it. It's a cross between a book and a diary, with lots of tips and help with how to journal.
Who inspires you? Jane Wurwand , the founder of Dermalogica has been a huge inspiration. Not only did she build a fabulous brand but she's a real support of other women in business. This journey has also taught me to not always look outside myself for inspiration too. I've developed my own self mastery and have the ability to create my own inspiration. ( I loved this answer and Samantha is the first guest to highlight how important it is to be able to look to ourselves too).
